SPEECH PATHways Foundation Plans Spring FUNdraiser with Milkshake!
The SPEECH PATHways Foundation plans to shake things up in 2012 with a new Board and fundraising efforts to help local families in need of speech language services. To start with, a new Advisory Board has been formed to carry forward the great work started in 2007, including original as well as new faces and talents. The Foundation has already planned its first FUNdraiser of 2012, bringing a special trio performance from the popular kid's rock band Milkshake to Westminster's Carroll Arts Center on May 20, 2012. This unique Sunday afternoon show features Lisa Mathews, Mikel Gehl, and Michael Sheppard of the Milkshake Band in an up-close performance on the Carroll Arts stage. The music of this Grammy-nominated rock band band of Nickelodeon fame (loved by both kids and parents) and specially decorated cupcakes from Starry Night Bakery are certain to make this a sell-out event! SPEECH PATHways Foundation Awards Grants for Speech Therapy Services to Two Area Families
In late May 2010, the SPEECH PATHways Foundation awarded grants to two area families with the first of its funds raised from various fundraisers. One young boy received $4000 toward his care and another received $1000. Both awards will support families in receiving much-needed ongoing speech-therapy for their children.
